Bremerhaven, Fishing Harbour

Last year in May I went for a business trip to Bremerhaven, Northern Germany.
I had a pleasant stay, the weather was fine so close to the North Sea and I could take some time for taking photos early in the morning and mostly in the evening.
I had almost forgotten that I had not yet edited the pictures. Here are the first few, and I will add some more to this thread as soon as I've found the time to process them.
Most of the pictures were taken during walks around the Fishing Harbour.

Today a hotspot for tourists, with museum ships, food stalls and restaurants.

Backside of the food mile - if you go there try a "Haake Beck Kraeusen", an unfiltered, naturally cloudy Pilsner - I love it!

Walk towards the Fishing Harbour.

New office building on the left, modern hotel on the right.

The harbour basin with the museum ships, tourist centre and the food mile in the back.
The ship on the left, the "RV Atair" is a research vessel of the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency of Germany (BSH).
She is powered by LNG-capable engines, much more environmentally friendly than classic marine diesel.
All their ships are named after stars. "Atair" is the brightest star in the constellation of Aquila and the twelfth-brightest star in the night sky (2.22mag).

What I really like is, that my expectations were fulfilled.
I was expecting in an industrial harbour all that tech stuff, all that rust.
I like this kind of subjects.
And maybe some more birds than just seagulls (photos yet to come).
And indeed, I saw an Eurasian oystercatcher, which I didn't expect there.
But when it saw me, it flew away before I could male a photo to prove the encounter

Here is a seagull that was flying towards me. 5D4 AF isn't that bad... (I think I already posted the last pic in the BIF thread)

Thanks, Click. It's funny how a photographer develops an eye for evening/morning light.
Without checking the data, I think it was about 7 pm and the evening sun came from behind right.

Finally, I found a few more days time to process further pics.

A small old sailing boat. I must admit that I am not sure how far from shore I'd like to travel with it.

A pontoon crane in front of what seems to be a ship breaking yard. I like the backlight.

I could identify the left ship as "Fidelio" from Limassol, Cyprus, a chemical tanker.
The ship in the middle is the "ENS Al-Qahhar" (F 905), an Al-Aziz-class frigates of the Egyptian Navy.
On the right is the "Fram" from Hurtigruten, Norway.
