EOSR5ii - sensor jumping

When photographing birds in flight (continuous focus, tracking, burst mode), the sensor will occasionally jump, and make a 'clunk' sound. Any images in this part of the sequence are blurred (shutter speed below 1/1000) or the subject is massively displaced in the image.
Has anyone heard of this issue before?

I've seen a 'jump' in the EVF when the IBIS/ILIS runs out of travel and resets, but I haven't noticed a clunking sound when that happens. Does your lens have a panning mode (e.g. IS mode 2) available?
Sorry for the long time to reply.
The lens does have a mode 2 - I have been running it on Mode 1. Do you think that will make a difference?

Definitely sounds like a return or exchange is warranted. if possible.

I'm having this issue when I am shooting video with the R5M2. I was contemplating sending it in to Canon but it seems like I may not be the only one with this issue. My R3 performed flawlessly when shooting video, so I just used that for video. It does it when handholding video, I did not try it on a tripod.
