Post your images here taken with SIGMA 18-50mm F2,8 DC DN | Contemporary for the RF/RF-S mount.
And share your impressions with it.

I instantly fell in love with that little fellow. It is relatively small for an APS-C f/2.8 zoom lens.
It has a very robust built. And combined with EOS cameras it's AF is really impressing, fast and reliable.

Let's have a look at the macro capabilities.
According to SIGMA its maximum magnification ratio varies between 1:2.8 (W) and 1:5 (T)
as the MFD varies from 12.1 (W) to 30 (T) cm / 4.8 (W) to 11.9 (T) in.
So far from a good macro for small things, but good enough for flowers and bigger insects.

R50+18-50, @18mm, f/16, 1/60, ISO250, @MFD, so magnification 1:2.8

Let's have a look at the capabilities wide open at f/2.8.

Here I set the focus at the willow catkins. Both photos again from the same position.
Some sensitivity for flair is visible. The lens hood was on. Luckily, Sigma delivers this with the lens. So no extra costs.
