2 weeks is not bad at all. Here's hoping some of the stock makes its way to the UK now!I ordered from ac-foto in Germany on September 11th and the camera was shipped today
So while it was not readily available, waiting two weeks is not that long (waited four month for my R5 back in 2020).

Their website said and still says "delivery time three weeks" so it did ship a little sooner. (The LP-E6P battery shipped within one week though their estimate was six weeks
) But as I ordered some time after the rumor that R5II shipments have been delayed (by potentially 6 months!) had been reported here, I did not expect a delivery in time!

I particularly like the configurable "off, lock, on" switch and the wider upper mode selector wheel.

And I dislike the fact that the video switch is too easy to actuate accidentally. It should be "lockable". (I never use video, never!)I do dislike that I can’t switch into video mode without taking my hand of the lens
But 3M heavy duty duct tape helps!

Can it be customized? The switch is in a different location on the R3, but I also shoot no video on ILCs and I have the switch on the R3 assigned to toggle silent photo mode.

I just like going through the menus and working out for myself, and the Canon menus are pretty good. I don't normally watch YouTubes either. However, this guy is one of the good ones and he uses very similar settings to me.

Sorry, I didn't read carefully.
IMO it is not possible to customize the switch. I had the red record button in mind.Though I suggest to download the manual to You smartphone if you haven't done it yet.
It is nice to have it allways with You if you are unshure how to use the camera.
At the moment I just have the manual on my phone ut no R5 mkII.

For UK people, I just received another stock update email from WEX that they haven't forgotten about my order but are still awaiting stock. These emails seem to coincide with them receiving stock, so hopefully they got a bit more than the 20 bodies they got earlier in September.
