I suspect it's a settings conflict issue. There are people who report no problems with AF ant others who do, that's usually the case when some specific setting messes with something in the update. I recall someone mentioned a change to the power saving setting that fixed the issue for them, and at least one other person chimed in that it also worked for them. Have you tried resetting all settings? It's not too onerous on the R5II since you can write the configuration to a card and reload it if the reset doesn't help. If you call Canon, that's probably what they'd advise. (Maybe you've done all of that already.)I have been dealing with the AF issues since I updated to 1.0.3 firmware. It is very disappointing that Canon does not formally recognize this issue and state they are prioritizing getting a fix out asap.
The same prophecy, over and over again...We need 4k 60 fine for the r5ii or a lot of people are leaving Canon it\'s unacceptable!!!
as usual these days on this site. Bummer, I used to check regularly because of some solid rumors. These days it seems to me that it's just fluff - like the time admin on a R5 Mark II rumor kind of trolled us with the quote "I hope you like right angles" as he had allegedly already seen the camera but couldn't share more details.summary: no news.
I made the changes to power settings in that article and can report that my issues seem to be gone.I suspect it's a settings conflict issue.
