Best Canon R Body for High ISO ?

I am currently using the R5 and R5m2, both are excellent cameras but they’re not that exceptional at higher ISO.

Which R body is the best at higher ISO?

My main system is Canon RF, that’s why I would rather stay with Canon.

Or should I rather get the 50 and 85 1.2 Primes?, I already use the 28-70/2 and the 24-105/2.8 Zooms, and TBH I always prefer Zooms to primes.

Would using denoising software like DxO/Topaz/ACR work for you? For me, it makes no difference if I use the R5II or R8, DxO gets rid of so much noise that they perform very similar, to me.

Without noise reduction the R8 gives more pleasing high ISO shots than the R5II, but that’s a very subjective determination.

Nice non-controversial topic. I'll start by saying, most modern cameras are amazing especially when paired with modern software.

That said....from those that done direct comparisons: R1/R3 followed closely by the R5 II/R5. I am sure others are close in there. Interestingly, DR at Photons to Photos would indicate this is not correct. Which is right? It's complicated. But owning the R1 and R5, I prefer the R1 at higher ISO. I have not used the R5 II.

As for camera body vs lenses. It really depends. You can only use the lenses when you are using that specific lens. If an 85 f/1.2 will address your high ISO needs, then by all means, pick up that amazing lens. However, a camera body will be used on all your lenses.
