This week I took my equipment to it's limit shooting a white wagtail during rain.
The ISO got up to 25 600 and the R5 and RF 100-500L + 1.4 TC couldn't focus fast enough to keep the bird perfect in focus.
The IQ is just acceptable though I'm very happy with the pictures.
All pictures @ f/10, 1/4000s and processed in Topaz Photo AI

The R5 seems to focus pretty fast at 700mm f/10 with the RF 100-500m + 1.4xTC. Blackheaded Gull.
