Butterflies, Moths and Assorted Insects...

Brimstones
I already write several times that this summer there are much fewer butterflies than in other years.
For weeks, it seemed that there were only brimstones and one or two other pieridae.
I was so disappointed that I didn't have any fun processing brimstone photos I took.
Here are the first since March, also taken weeks ago...

A female holly blue (celastrina argiolus) just before oviposition.
Last pic with wings at maximum reflection of the sunlight. I didn't want to push the bg even more, so slight low key exposure.
