No worries. Rudy has some VERY interesting things to say about eye control in this video. I am definitely going to give it another shot.

I started watching this video, last night, before having to pause (some of us have to work!), but I plan to watch the whole thing section by section. Mr. Winston is really interesting and knows how to explain how things work, for sure! I'm glad to say I learned a thing or two about AF.

I didn’t find it too much more enlightening than the original. I hoped he may go more into the new button on the R1, and auto focus use cases, but I suppose it’s out of scope. I still can’t get eye focus to work. Hmm.

I have tried eye focus initially with the R3 and always found the circle very distracting. I just never thought to turn in off as Rudy suggested. I did a few extra calibrations and one in portrait mode as per Rudy. I never realized calibrations are additive either. I think the feature works quite well for me, but admittedly I don't see it as something that I would use a lot.

Canon has an online AF Settings Guide for the R1. Some of it is probably applicable to the R5II.
