Canon Eos C300 Autofocus

I bought a used C300 body with the EF bayonet.
Firmware is the latest available for cameras without dualpixel AF
All settings are factory
The body recognizes my lenses and shows AF on screen when I switch them to AF via the switch on the lens.
However I can't use autofocus.
In the settings menu autofocus is set to "one shot" but greyed out, no change possible.
I have currently set function key No 4 to be used for AF but wehen using key No 1 there was no difference.

Any suggestions?

Case closed: Even greyed out the AF works, but unlike the EOS still cameras, pressing the fokus button does not tell the camera to focus but to start aquiring focus. To actually get focus you have to wait (and keep the the button pressed) until a few seconds later focus is achieved.
