Canon has delayed the next EOS R5 Mark II shipments by potentially 6 months.

canon allocated SIX cameras to Ireland in October....

what a disaster of a rollout
I think it is pretty bad considering how many they sent to the US. I know it is a big market, but Europe isn't exactly small.

I ordered pretty late, so this is partly my fault, but it is still annoying. Anyway, I know of one place in the UK that has a camera in stock, problem is that it's a kit an I don't need the 24-105. I think there is meant to be another shipment coming to the UK before the end of this month. Maybe it's the same for Ireland.

New delivery here in November «maybe 6-8 bodies, but not certain».

the dealer has the option of splitting it to sell the lens separately ?

although given it's a seller's market right now , they probably won't bother

If it was a lens, or film camera, I'd just buy from Usa at this point.
But these products are so tech-heavy now, I wouldn't buy without a valid warranty

FWIW, my R5II came in a 24-105L kit box, like my R5 did, but no lens was present. So it looks like some shops split it by default and sell the 24-105L as a demo/open box unit.

I don't think authorised dealers are allowed to split kits.

I agree about lenses. I was actually in the US last weekend and considered buying the kit (cheaper than the body alone in the UK) but I really want the UK warranty and just thought it wasn't worth it.

Same with mine: the shop removed the lens from the kit. They sell the lenses separately as ‘bulk’ for about 100 € less than the lens with a box. This is an official Canon dealer in the Netherlands.

Was the kit more expensive to buy than lens and body separately where you live? They were here. Usually they split kits, but not this time. My dad wanted the lens so he could buy it from me, but no kits were available, even when I was first in line. My R3 arrives in a couple of hours so who cares

The kit with body and RF 24-105 f4 is 59€ cheaper than buying body and lens separately. Have fun with your R3, you have waited long enough.
