Wait, so Canon and other companies are legitimately having to delay production and not just claiming they have to do so to give the appearance of demand and cover up for poor sales? Damn, and that conspiracy theory was so relatable...

It looks like Canon authorized dealer Procam has the R5II (body only) in stock right now. Probably won’t last, so act fast.

If anyone is still looking for the body only, Kenmore Camera in Washington lists it as available on their website. I also was able to purchase two P batteries, this week, which I have been unable to find anywhere else.. And the batteries work fine. Who knows how long they'll be available.

Well done! I ordered just under a month after announcement which was clearly a mistake.
I just spoke to WEX and was told the most recent shipment was only 20 units and with hundreds of orders, I could be waiting until next year if they continue receiving stock at the same rate. Joy...

I'm in China, and the order queue in my city is very long, unless you are willing to pay a few hundred dollars more. I guessed that smaller cities might not have many buyers, so I looked up several dealers in smaller cities and called them one by one. Fortunately, I got a satisfactory result on the third call, and successfully bought the camera a week later.

They didn't but they said they usually arrive about the same time each month. I got an email about my order on 19th August and again on 11th September saying that they were still waiting for stock, so I reckon those were just after they receive the shipments.

Thanks, Saturday was first I received an email from WEX mentioning awaiting stock since I ordered. Annoyingly they told me on Friday to check again this week - I know from my local store that they have enough on order to clear all of their pre-orders.
Might visit my local store this week when the Canon reps are in for the camera store week that Canon are running this week.

Small update - called WEX today.
They’re expecting another shipment of cameras this month - which they hope will be larger than the one they received last week - but they don’t have dates or numbers from Canon.
Short while later I got an email from my local WEX to advise that the LP-E6P battery that I ordered on 24th August was now in and available for collection.

Kan jeg spørre hvor du har bestilt. Jeg bestilte 19 juli hos foto.no. og jeg spurte dem i dag hvor jeg er i køen hos dem. Og de sa de ikke hadde noe kø ordninger. Så de kunne ikke kunne gi meg noen kø nummer. Men de gikk etter ordrenummer da. Men kø nummer hadde de ikke. Sikkelig frustrerende og ikke vite. Da er det ingen grunn til og forhåndbestille når en ikke har en fordel.

Jeg har bestilt hos alle sammen, men hos Japan f.eks trenger du bare reservere i butikk, så får du køplass. Men, Scandinavian og Foto var det så mange at det var helt umulig tror jeg. Stavanger hadde litt mindre, men fort 25-30 stk. Trenger man f.eks RF24-105 så anbefalte de å bestille kit, for det var det nesten ingen kø, en foran typisk.

Virker som kit kommer først ja. Helt tullete. Jeg bestilte bare kamera. For jeg kjøpte RF 70-200mm istedet som jeg hadde bruk for. Og overgang så jeg kan bruke de objektiver jeg har for før. Men fikk vite i dag at de håpet at jeg skulle få en ved neste levering hos dem på foto.no. Det er frustrerende og gå og vente. Det ser jo ut for at de får inn alle andre canon kamera. Så vis de mangler komponenter bare på R5ii er rart synes jeg. Og bare Skandinavia og England får ikke nok R5ii.

I got another update email from WEX today that they are still waiting for stock. I suspect that means they received another shipment. I haven't called to check how many units they received.

Din oplevelse er vældig lig min da jeg havde bestilt R3 huset i November 2022. Goecker her i Danmark fik intet at vide om hvornår de fik flere produkter, og det var først i Juni 2023 at jeg fik mulighed for at afhente et hus.
Mindre end én måned senere havde de fået så mange at de var lager førende.
Jeg skulle være ca nr 20 i køen ud af mere end 200 som havde bestilt forud.

Just got an email from WEX to say that my order has been dispatched. I ordered on 30th July.
When I spoke to their live chat on Saturday - I had been on holiday, they weren’t able to give me any further info apart from they were waiting for stock.
