Canon R + Remote Control = Not shooting

I'm was happy user of a Canon R + Hahnel Captur Remote Control until yesterday, it doesn't work anymore. The lights are both green, but when I try to shoot it gets red and doesn't do anything.

Did I turn off something on the Canon R that now prevents the remote from firing? Anyone can help me?

Thanks!

As a suggestion try triggering the shutter directly from the transmitter only using the cable. If this doesn't work it's probably the cable. If it works you might have accidently changed the transmitting channel. You can get new Hahnel cable sets for Canon.

Hi guys, I created an account here to reply to this as I’ve been looking for a fix for this sometime and I hope it helps folks out!:

Try this and it should re-sync all receivers and transmitters.

To change the transmitter signal on a hähnel Captur system, you need to follow a specific procedure involving pressing and holding the button on both the transmitter and receiver while powering them on. This activates a mode that allows you to select a different channel or signal for the system to use.

Detailed Steps:
  1. Turn off all receivers: Ensure all receivers are powered off before starting.
  2. Transmitter: Press and Hold, Then On:Press and hold the button on the transmitter and power it on. You should see a flashing green light.
  3. Release Button (Transmitter): Release the button on the transmitter.
  4. Receiver: Press and Hold, Then On: For each receiver, press and hold the button and power it on. The light should turn red within a few seconds, indicating successful synchronization.
  5. Repeat for all receivers: Repeat step 4 for all receivers without turning the transmitter off.
  6. Turn off and on: Turn the transmitter and all receivers off, then back on again to finalize the synchronization.
