Ruddy darter from late September, twas quite windy, so difficult to get it without motion blur

Very nice and off course I like the second one better!

I prefer the angle the dragonfly is facing in the second, but lately, I feel more interest when I see the surrounding area like the first. Of course, there is no right or wrong.

Common Darter, R7 + RF 100-400mm. Bet the 200-800 couldn't resolve this.

I love the RF 100-400 and the RF 100-500 for these shots. You can get these 1/3rd size macro shots a metre away and not scare the dragonflies, butterflies etc. The R7 with the 100-400 would have been even better.
