I've always liked the look of silver cameras. This Leica looks pretty sharp!

Camera aesthetics are about as "modern" as their WIFI. Canon is the Jeep of cameras. Purely functional but not exactly stylish.

That is your respectable point of view, yet,a bit risky to compare Leicas with poorly assembled 4X4s.
I do really like their aesthetics, the tactile quality, the ergonomics, the menu, far less the limited choice of lenses, their WIFI and their horrible prices...
Unfortunately, you can no longer adapt Canon EF lenses, this means no T&S, no luminous teles, and, sadly, no macro ring-flash (unless in manual mode). The re-badged Nissin strobes cost twice as much...
