Huh....I wouldn't have thought the best thread for deer would be Misc Wildlife...but here I am.
Finishing up photos from Sunday's kayak trip. All R5 Mk I and the RF 200-800.
Kayak is a Wilderness Systems 140
Only the second deer I have seen while kayaking in New Hampshire. Very playful fawn. We first spotted the large dumbo ears coming around the corner. Then the fawn would race ahead and would watch as we kayaked around another corner. Of course, I have ~250 pictures. But these 3 are my favorites so far.
Edit: Closing out the folder...I found this one I liked as well...
For over a year I have not been able to make photo trips in northern Finland for medical reasons. Now things are a little better so I made two trips, one in July and the last now in September. On the last trip I met a wolf pack of nine grey wolves. Two adults and seven juniors. The brown bear was captured in July. I have mostly used Canon R5 but this time I used my new second body Canon R8. I was very pleased with the results. I am still waiting the new Canon R5 mark II.

The distance was approx. less than 25 meters. But I was inside a photo hide. However thosen wolves are quite wary of humans especially when they have cubs around. If they notice a man they will take a flight. The last time when a wolf has killed human in Finland was 1881.
