Miscellaneous Wildlife

Just bumped back into this thread, sorry for the late reply Eric. All this images were while we were in Costa Rica. I spent about 60 percent of the time there hiking around in the jungle. It's an incredibly beautiful place with so much to see.

And the Sandhills against the yote, that was epic. At one point the female had it pinned to the ground which had to leave a wound. Sandhills have some massive talons.

Was observing some chipmunks when this young male Bobcat trotted up and stopped about 50' away.

I have never seen a Bobcat in real (well, I do not count the Zoos - not the same tremor!!!). And the tremor from your photo is huge!

I didn't get exactly what I wanted to get, but I'll take it anyway. This was hard work, especially if you like sleep. SItting in a hide all night hoping something comes to drink the water. I head back to South Africa again in May and we'll do the sleep deprivation again and hope for the best. Animals come and go extremely quickly at watering holes at night for obvious reasons.

There was a lion patrolling the area on this night, but he never came for a drink.

Thirsty Giraffe // Zaminga, South Africa // Leica SL2-S // Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 ART
The Leica SL2-S was immediately sold after this trip, it's not a good camera. Nothing wrong with the Sigma glass or the brilliant Leica 90-280
