Miscellaneous

The tangle of branches at the bottom is a glaring flaw and represents a two fold problem. 1. I didn't notice them when I took the picture. I tend to not see the trees for the forest. 2. I'm not well versed in some aspects of post processing and therefore haven't been able to get a credible result. If I am successful, I'll repost but I'm not optimistic. I use Affinity Photo 2 but am a rank amateur.
dpc, do you mind if I give it a try?

With all this talk about the large solar flares, I thought I'd give it a look:

Small-8026.jpg

Yep...that is large. Apparently you could stack 16 Earth's end to end to get the same length as that complex of solar flares at the bottom. Anyone in the Northern climates with clear skies....you might want to check for auroras tonight/tomorrow.

No false modesty follows: I literally don't know what I'm doing when it comes to posting an image such as the one shown below--trying to 'frame', in interesting light, a pink dogwood that we thought had died 12 months ago (named "Celeste's Tree", after our deceased cat).

While the tree is certainly not fluorishing, it did have pretty blossoms a few weeks ago, and after a bit of trimming and mulch...looks much better. Maybe even the Mourning Dove thinks so as well...
