Travelled to Seville for a two-day conference. Took telephoto for birds, of course, but had only my iPhone 6 for general use. Here is a view across the Guadalquivir River through the window of a restaurant and then one at the end of the meal (1/15s, iso 2000. f/2.2). The daytime is straight out of the phone, reduced about two fold, and the night similar but noise reduction using Nik.

Is Seville a decent birding destination? I was supposed to be at a meeting there currently, but sent one of the people in my department instead. Had I gone, I'd likely have planned for architecture, not birds.

Decent place for a hair cut. Or at least Rossini thought so ;)

No, but you always live in hope. It's the thrill of the chase. Architecture you can always find, but birds are far more elusive. I have spent so much of my life traipsing around European cities, looking at buildings, going into art galleries and museums that I now go for Nature.

I have been to Sevilla (Seville in English) twice; it is one of my favorite cities. Here are two shots of the popular Plaza de Espana. Even in autumn it was difficult to get shots without people (and the afternoon shot had one family digitally removed). I would argue against visiting in summer unless you like doing people photography.

Something a little different. For you petrol head travelers. Few from a couple of Eurotrips.

Both got 5 page features in Porsche Post Mag.
