R5 II Displaying the Histogram

Not sure what the exact issue you’re having is - and I don’t have an r5ii, but in the r1 on the first three options you can tap info and edit the contents. You can add the histogram to any of those screens. Maybe that’s helpful?

On Screen info settings, option 3, the one that gives me the option of an RGB histogram, is missing a tick box.
Advice on the setting that is blocking my use of this would be greatly appreciated.
Do you mean when you press info button cycling through the screen off/live view sans info/decluttered/max display etc it doesn't come up? If so make sure you have Exposure Sim turned on for stills. Under view setup (shooting info display > screen info > option for histogram) it should always be selectable as a tick there if that is what you mean. It won't however show when cycling through modes with the info button if exposure sim is turned off as I noticed that as sometimes have it turned off when using strobes.

Wow! Thank you - Exposure Sin fixed it.
It now displays on the flip-out but not the peep-hole view finder.
Is there a way to get it through the peep-hole, crowded as the screen estate there will probably get, quite quickly?
yeah it is configurable for VF as well as on the main flip-out rear screen. I have mine set for 3 pages and RGB histogram is on the last page. That way I find the decluttered view is the main one and I can pull up extended or full info with histogram as needed. You could set it to be different info/no. of screens etc to personal preference and needs. So under "shooting info display" as previous post but pick VF instead of "screen". Then you pick how many displays options you want to be able to cycle through (up to 3), under each of those there is a button to edit layout, I forget what it is but it tells you on the screen on the left iirc what to press to edit each of those when selected. Under that edit screen you get options to set histogram, horizontal level and so on.

Thanks so much for pointing that out! I’ll definitely check my display mode and settings to see if something’s blocking the RGB histogram option. It’s super helpful to have guidance like this—sometimes it’s just one small thing making all the difference. Really appreciate the advice and looking forward to sorting it out!
