Show your Bird Portraits

There are 4-5 things that I don't like in the Zebra Dove but on the top of the list stays "messy!!!".
And the adults are as messy as these chicks on the photos!

A short trip (just Sunday) to Maui. Apapane is my "bad bird": I never can get a good shot (and I'm not including what I got!).
There was some chance for Maui Alauahio because of the recent reports but I didn't see it! Anyway it's in small numbers on that spot (Hosmer Groove). My real dream was the Maui Parrotbill but it's far out of it's locality and is extremely rare!
1-2 photos Hawaii Amakihi (Maui subspecies Chlorodrepanis virens wilsoni and "Hawaii means "Big Island"! Kauai and Oahu do have their own species. All of these are very, very similar!)
After that I'iwi (3 out of many) photos and the same with the Chukar. The baby Chukar was by far so difficult to spot and take a photo in comparison to the adult but I got it on "unmarked crosswalk":)!
And off course Nene, only two spotted yesterday!DSC_8356_DxO.jpgDSC_8357_DxO.jpgDSC_8376_DxO.jpgDSC_8384_DxO.jpgDSC_8399_DxO.jpg
On my previous one day visit to Maui the season was better: "winter" time, all Mamane (widespread and common on that altitude) and it's the primary source of food for I'iwi and Amakihi at that season) were blooming and the birds were everywhere! Yesterday when I got out of the car I got frustrated - everywhere at the lower point of the trail there was just House Sparrow chirping!!! Finally I found (after 2x rushing the short loop trail) that now the endemics are feeding mostly/or so, on an endemic (and rare! )to Maui Sandalwood flowers (I have to figure out what species, I got the info from the only useful tourists (family), that I met - Maui residents, and pretty (by far more than me...) knowledgeable about the plants around!
