This young Red-tailed Hawk decided shore birds might be good for supper, diving out of a palm tree and landing next me by the river.

A Lilac-crowned Parrot, likely an escapee, that flew into the tree above my head. Love the IS combo of the R5 MK II and RF600 f/4L as this was taken at 1/30 of a second handheld.

Cuteness Warning!!!

First goose family of the year. Those photos are from today.
I was told the goslings hatched on Sunday. On my walk on Sunday at about 2 p.m. the mother was still sitting on the nest.
So this means the goslings are about 4 days old.

I'm a big friend of Grey Goose...
I am not sure we are talking about the same Grey Goose here.

I was wondering, I saw Flamingos in Italy on the vacation part of the trip. The work part of my trip took me through Frankfurt Germany where I had a Saturday to myself where I did laundry in the morning (international travel, not as exotic as you may think) but walked along the Rhine (edit--Main River, which flows into the Rhine) in the afternoon and saw:

I hadn't yet taken the time to identify, but yeah, Greylang Goose Gosling.

:ROFLMAO:

Must have been a long walk as Frankfurt (am Main) is located at the Main river. ;)
And even longer of it were Frankfurt (Oder) in Eastern Germany. :ROFLMAO:
But of course it depends on where you are located in Frankfurt.
And Mainz is also a nice city to walk along the Rhine.

So cute! :) Nicely done, Maximilian.
Thanks Click.
The parents were very nervous and aggressive, which I found good.
And for me, it was good that I had a 700 mm FL at my disposal.
But it was bad that the father was aiming at me and not paying attention to the buzzard above him.
But my presence probably also caused the buzzard to lose interest.
