Show your Bird Portraits

Well, after Alan's comment I have to post the rest of my photos from yesterday - just to prove I'm by far not always that lucky (but it's exactly what makes me so happy with the photos of the Grassquid, no?).
Some of the regulars of that place - all of them look more attractive but it's just the look :)! I wouldn't say the same for their photos but it's what it is...

What follows in this post is clearly off-topic.

Or maybe not.

The poster (Keith Ladzinski) here really likes what he refers to as 'pre-record continuous shooting' (a half-second burst at 30 frames/second), a feature in the just-announced R5MkII..

He calls it a game-changer for those who post right here on CR. I tend to agree, with the caveat that I want to see how exactly Canon implements this feature., and exactly how easy it is to extract the images.

Here's what I know. For shooting birthday parties and other family gatherings (as well as live events such as concerts), the iOS Live setting on my own iPhone 12 Pro Max has proven to be invaluable, as far as getting the very best shot(s) of various events.

If Canon makes 'pre-record continuous shooting' as straightforward as Apple does in iOS, I think I agree with Keith L.

Well, the Red-Crested cardinal doesn't display the royalty of the Great Horned Owl but in some postures it may look kind of intimidating (seed eater, totally harmless - except when it starts singing in the very early morning: at that moment I really want to take something heavy and .... Whatever - at that time there are plenty of birds singing but only this one is annoying - a lot!
Old photos - may be my best of that species.

I have never been able to photograph any cardinal, I'm so bummed about that. I was trying to get all of the baseball birds... but the glorious red cardinal in flight with a snowy backdrop? I could never get close enough, nothing but potatoes.

I'm a Blue Jays fan, but those birds are evil.
