Show your Bird Portraits

Few more from today: I ignored them yesterday. It will make almost complete list of the seed/grass eaters in that park. I think I missed the House Sparrow again ;)! As well as the doves...
On other hand I didn't see any Chestnut Munia today but this is a huge park!

First two adult and sub-adult Scylla-breasted Munia.
After that two Java Sparrows (no, the first one is just stretching!)
One Saffron finch and one Yellow-faced Canary.

"Simplicity, abstraction, timing, colour, ambience, mood, feel and narrative...elements of great photography."
My personal narrative is that birds are wild animals and don't collaborate - by rule! It means I use to take photos at any circumstances (well, as a nonprofessional photographer I don't care what would be selling best or at all...).
I like when the birds are collaborating but it's an exception than the rule! And I don't want to wait for the exceptions - just trying to catch the maximum of the available .... (see your list above)!

Just the Red-vented Bulbul (I don't have the rest on Hawaii)!

Oh dear, here I am in Seattle and my new R5ii is waiting to be collected from the WEX store back home, so I have had to use my now totally obsolete R5 and the almost wide angle RF 100-500 instead of the 200-800 which is too large for me to pack. I was hoping to get some shots of a Bald Eagle, but this is typical of all I can get with the antiquated gear.

I’m sorry. That’s what happens when you lack skill. :p ;)
Do you mean the photos or the fact that he is buying new camera:p;)?

First one is my favorite but the second is not far behind! For "almost wide-angle" lens it's not that bad actually:LOL:!!!

Thanks. On the shore of Mercer Island. The Eagle was initially perched at the top of a very tall tree, flew down into the lake, and returned with a fish and started eating it low down just opposite me. The light was from behind me and he was unobscured. It was in the garden of a friend.
