Show your Bird Portraits

I, like most outside of the Americas, are Humming-Bird deprived, me especially so. It was with utmost pleasure that an Anna's visited our friends' balcony overlooking Lake Washington to sup their fuchsias (not a feeder in site). I can't match @Dragon's skill, especially in bad light, but these female Anna'sView attachment 219675View attachment 219676 made me very happy.
Thanks for the compliment. Cloudy days (and dark backgrounds) are definitely the easiest for hummingbird pics. The Anna's winter over here in Oregon.

I haven't done the research to see if it is a migration or maybe it is just the cooler temps but we have seen more hummers on our Coleus the past couple days.

This one had it's tongue out long before it got to the buds. But I am with you Alan, it's a pleasure to have so many around while relaxing in the yard.

My first Pre-Capture made into an animated gif. The Little Egret was at considerable distance, its image occupying only about 700px x 500 px on the R5ii sensor via the RF 200-800mm. I assumed it was fishing, and it was.

This dove was sitting where normally a heron has its perch. Maybe it has some ambitions :ROFLMAO:

I think it is a Homing or Racing Pigeon. You can just about make out a ring on its right leg. By chance I saw one this afternoon. There are three rings on its legs. The black one has the owners telephone number (if "lost"), the yellow one its registration number, and the green says "BENZIN". It looks like a Rock Dove.
