R5 Mk II with EF 600mm f4 II.
I'm really envious for the Purple - I haven't seen it in real so far! It happen I was also around the beach today and got a Sanderling. Plus my favorite from the migratory birds here: Bristle-thighed Curlew... Looking at the shape of your birds it seems cold there. Here is still the opposite: I wrapped my trip in ~an hour - it was too hot at open sky and practically there is no shade on that point of Oahu.

Two weeks and one day since my knee op. The staples were removed yesterday. Celebrated today with my first walk, eschewing the crutches for hiking poles, with the R5ii + RF 100-400mm over my shoulder. Then, to my delight a Kestrel appeared so I threw down the poles and rushed towards it. Knee is somewhat sore but worth it. Would have done better with the 200-800 but too heavy at present.

Sanderlings rule the world :).
The temperature was high for December, but there was a lot of wind. The purple sandpipers were arguing about who was allowed to shelter in a depression in the sand behind a stone.

Today only the Yellow-faced Canary. The second shot is soft but I really wanted that contrast. At too much contrast light I didn't expect AF to work properly and at first I was like "wait for less contrast light"! But that loud noise in my head told me "And you expect the bird to wait too?!!!!" And it's what I got...
