A friendly old man has shown me this tawny owl. Hard to spot without help, as this ( probably) female sits high in a tree well camouflaged.

Nemorino, Noreaster and Alan - very nice shots guys!
Yesterday I took one day trip to Maui (Haleakala - Hosmer Grove). Mostly rainy, 13C and windy. Took shots in-between the rain drops.

First series are I'iwy and Nene

Thanks Click! I like the pose of the Nene, hate that rings on their legs and the bokeh is blah because I shoot at f14 to get the bird behind in little bit more focus. Now I wish I didn't afraid to get completely wet (well, it was 13C!) and just get on my belly at least for the bokeh (sharpness and detail at f14 would be any way on the low side). Oh, and I wish there was not that rain: most of the time there was a layer of droplets between me and the object. Otherwise good timing with the season: only Mamane (that bush with the yellow flowers) was sparcely blooming and the honeycreepers were there (and it's in theyr favorites list any season!), visiting the same blooming bushes (most of them were not blooming!) so, you just wait for something to come...
