Had fun watching a Blue Tit feeding fledglings from my feeder (R5/200-800mm).

If you ever come to Leipzig, go visit the zoo. It's one of the most impressing in Germany, IMO.

You have just got an RF 100-400mm! They are so useful and unobtrusive.

No, they are common but skittish.

Dickcissels have finally arrived by me. They are late spring arrivals by me, usually showing the last few days of May. I also found a couple singing Indigo Buntings. 7D mkll / EF600 F4 / 1.4x lll

A Great Blue Heron on the creek yesterday morning. After getting two shots, a pair of passing joggers slapping sneakers watched it fly away. I shouldn't have looked to see the cause of the noise. I missed it's flight.

You have just got an RF 100-400mm! They are so useful and unobtrusive.

I bought it sometime ago in 2023, when I read the praises from you and others about its qualities
At that time, there was a really good discount, too.
I didn't use it a lot until now, when I went to Leipzig and Rhodes island on vacation and preferred the smaller size and weight over the RF100-500.
And I am very pleased, indeed.
You will see a lot more photos of birds, insects and mammals as soon as I find the time to process them.

These photos of the little grebe chicks are from early May.
It was the last time I saw them. After that, it went really cold here.
I hope, they could survive...
