Question: My 5Dm4 had terrible transfers.... Now my R5m2 is the same. 1-2 megabytes per second via the proprietary iOS Canon Connect app.
WiFi 6e provides much better speeds. My iPhone 15 Pro Max supports it both on paper and in real life where my Canon device support the
standard on paper only:
Wireless LAN (IEEE 802.11ax 2×2 MIMO) (6 GHz22 / 5 GHz / 2.4 GHz)23, with Bluetooth 5.3 support

Am I missing something? Please share your experience.

You might be using Bluethooth instead of wifi. I wasn't timing anything, but it was noticeably faster when I was trying some of the different features out. I also went from the 5D4 to the R5m2. I'll test it again when I get a chance and let you know.

I think it's whatever protocol it's using to move files over. By default it's converting to 2MB jpg and it transfers in a sec or two. I took a few images and changed them to HEIF and then did the in-camera upscaling to get bigger photo sizes. So I ended up with a 16MB photo that transferred in 4s (4MB/s) and a 44MP photo that transferred in just over 6 sec (7MB/s).

No. No. I am talking about cr3 files.

Which battery are you using? We found the speed improved dramatically using the P over the N.
Will check it out and report. But basically I am using the original battery.
