They are lovely to see in the wildToday is my first day back from my most recent work trip where I tacked on a vacation to Sicily. I made it a goal to photograph flamingos, something I have never seen outside of a zoo. I found out there was a breeding colony just north of Siricusa in Priolo Salt Pans Nature Reserve. We were there for only about 90 minutes as this was added on to the day we toured Siracusa and rains were coming. We only hit one blind, but there are several.
I have many more to process, but let's just say, I'd happily go back and spend more time.
