I shot the Shoveler with the R6 and my old EF 400/5.6L wide open @400mm. Shutter speed was 1/2500s, ISO 640. I was very close to the bird and with a bit of distance between bird and the field behind him I got some nice subject separation.

He flew right at me and past me. Here he is a few seconds later.
