A glorious day of sunshine, which was reflected from some very large flocks of Lapwings and Black-tailed Godwits wheeling and their colours changing. And a few Greenwinged Teal in the far distance. These are crops from the centres of the shots from the RF200-800mm on the R5ii.

Very nice photos! Always enjoy the colors on the Lapwings. Good lighting makes all the difference, doesn't it?

I agree completely about the Lapwings. They are gorgeous when the light hits the top of the wings. When they wheel in flight, the colours go from white and black under the wings to the green iridescence as they turn.

I like all of them: except for the last one (rather rare here!!!) I have no chance to see these birds here (well, I took some photos of the Black-tailed Godwid last year in Europe)!

Yes, espacially the place has been unpredictable. In a busy area of the park with a lot of people passing by. Didn't expect this!:eek:
