Wing blur can be an attractive feature, as it is here, indicating movement. Here's something you don't see that often: a Clapper Rail in flight. You can tell by the wing blur that it took me by surprise: I had set the shutter speed to photograph it deep in the darkness of the weeds. Thankfully, the autofocus and image stabilization worked well. Taken on a recent trip to Belize.

Thank you, I concur. I'm happy with the photo, I just wouldn't have planned it with that much blur.Wing blur can be an attractive feature, as it is here, indicating movement.
Thanks. Nice set of the Eurasian Jay.I have tried a lot to get pictures like that as I like the dynamic. Well done!

No, it was shot against a white-washed wall several feet behind.Have you removed the background?
Lovely photos. I like the low lighting on all of them and the full wing extension on the second.I had some fun capturing some small birds in flight having failed to see a Bittern or Kingfisher on a trip. R5ii set at 600mm, 30fps, 13200s and f/9. Goldfinch, Great Tit and Blue Tit.

Thanks. At 30 fps I was able to choose the best ones. My keeper rate goes down as the fps go up.Lovely photos. I like the low lighting on all of them and the full wing extension on the second.
