A male common heath (ematurga atomaria). Sex can be easily IDed looking at the lamellated antennae.

Do you all think this is overly processed (included one modified and one with just slight post-processing tweaks that I would usually do). I was going for an "elevated" coloration -- meaning that I wasn't trying to hide the fact that I heavily modified this in post... I'm just looking for thoughts/input, etc...

Nothing exciting from the birds today so, I just spent bunch of time chasing couple of Agraulis vanillae (Gulf Fritillary). These are just a fraction of the numbers of photos that I made (it's what the frustration is doing to bird photographers

In your part of USA you have by far more species than I have on Hawaii... Here there are only two endemic butterflies (I have no photo - they are very rare on Oahu) and what is "introduced" (I mean just accidentally introduced to Hawaii) is very small number of species!
