Butterflies, Moths and Assorted Insects...

Here in Franconia, the wet spring must have had a massive impact on the butterfly population. Probably many pupae have become mouldy. :cry:
I have not seen a single peacock butterfly this year :eek:.
I get really euphoric when I find the first marbled whites. :D

Edit: I forgot to mention, that just in post I recognized the green bug below the butterfly.

A seven-spot ladybird (coccinella septempunctata).
I'm always happy to see some of those. Not because they are treated as lucky charm, but because they are more and more displaced by their Asian relatives, the multicoloured Asian lady beetle.
