That may be true but I am not 100% convinced.Exactly my point. Had they used the exact sensor from R5mkII with these exact same specs and placed it in R1 body, while adding the R1 focusing system, that combo would've had much stronger claim to "flagship" title. I also think that would've actually expanded the potential market compared to what market R1 is actually covering with it's 24 mpix sensor.
The market for people who need ultra-performing high MP cameras is not that big.
The R5 II will fit the needs of most people.
People are already complaining about the price of that.
I am aware of a lot more people who earn a living in sports photography than who earn a living in wildlife photography.
The R7 is good enough for most hobbyist wildlife photographers and a lot will just stick with the original R5.
