They are 100% crops (1 px = 1 px of uncropped, no downsizing, straight out of DxO PL with no added sharpening). I had about 50 tack sharp shots at 1/3200s at about 4m distance. I can’t see an R5ii doing better AF than that.

Thanks for that info. They are 100% crops (1 px = 1 px of uncropped, no downsizing, straight out of DxO PL with no added sharpening).
And with the sensor data of the Mk II that seems not so much temptingI had about 50 tack sharp shots at 1/3200s at about 4m distance. I can’t see an R5ii doing better AF than that.
Very nice. As OP of the thread I am allowed to ask you to give us the name of the dragonfly, which is the custom, to save everyone else having to search for it. And don't say Fred or Donald, we have had that one.

Thanks. It could be a Band-wing Meadowhawk according to the one app I have. A side view would be good for ID.I make an attempt to identify pretty much all the images I post but unless I am 100% sure I hold off. The last time I thought I nailed it in this thread and was wrong. I will make every attempt to to ID but will only post a name if I am confident. I hope that works.
OK I'm not 100% but I thought it could be Autumn Meadowhawk
Lovely shot - it deserves to be inserted as full-size. It's also a new species for the thread.R5 - RF 70-200mm 2.8

I believe this is a male Calico Pennant ( Celithemis Elisa).
Thanks Alan, I have now inserted as full-sizeLovely shot - it deserves to be inserted as full-size. It's also a new species for the thread.
It’s really marvellous. The colouring is gorgeous and you have it sharp all over despite the angle. Thanks Alan, I have now inserted as full-size. This shot was taken at my sisters cottage in Muskoka, Ontario.
The 1/640s has a very pleasing wing blur!R5 + RF 100-500L + 1.4TC

Really beautiful shot and a fine addition to the thread as I don't think we have seen one posted here before. As the OP of the thread, I like everyone to give the species of posted image.
Agree with you - I don't think I have seen something like this before. Concerning the ID - I may try but without location (just to decrease the possible species) I'm feeling lost... It needs better one than me with the Dragons.Really beautiful shot and a fine addition to the thread as I don't think we have seen one posted here before. As the OP of the thread, I like everyone to give the species of posted image.
