Second time ever that I could get a scarlet dragonfly (crocothemis erythraea) at my local ponds

And this is my first, shot this afternoon.

Yes, it has landed close to me and I had no problem to take "some" shots even at mfd.

Also and by far more important: I see photos on the last pages of this treat that much better deserve your compliments ("for book", "excellent" )! If I didn't post recently was not because I have no will - the Dragons need the time and patience that I was missing in the last weeks...

Good shot whatever it is! Is your lens sharper at f/8 or are you going for a tiny bit more dof?
