Arriving well before dawn I took an alternate trail where I had a surprise encounter with a friendly five foot Southern Pacific Rattlesnake. It was napping about two feet from the trail, hopping up and back at my closest approach. I spent about half an hour trying to catch it in the best light before we parted ways.

Phelsuma laticauda is always beautiful looking gecko but on that flower (Bromelia sp.) it made my day.

More of the same... I didn't know they do eat nectar (Insects and fruit is what I knew) - learned it today. The second one never looked at me, despite all my attempts to get it's attention (like waiving and making noises - for fun to the people around!).

More of the Golden dust day Gecko and few shots of the Green Anole (male judging by the dewlap: that pinkish throat "fan") - very skittish and difficult to spot, no idea when was the last time I took a shot of this one...
