A pair of my favorite shots from the little watering spot in the mountains. I started adding water when I visit after sitting there through a rainstorm and watching birds make use of the standing water even though there is a year round seep about 10' away in the brush. In late November I only have a short window when the three depressions are in the sun.
Two female Western Bluebirds getting a drink. f/9 was able to keep them both in focus.
And a solitary male a bit later.
Female Reed Bunting and Little Egret from this morning.
Wow, more new Robins for me - and great photos!

I read your statement too quickly and thought the Kestrel was the one who stopped your car and absconded with your camera and 200-800. I thought, "That Kestrel's got good taste!" Then I saw the gif and realized my error.Driving along this morning I saw a Kestrel swoop down. Stopped the car and grabbed the R5ii +200-800mm.

If there was a comma in instead of a full stop (period) in "I saw a Kestrel swoop down. Stopped the car and grabbed" then your first take would have been correct.I read your statement too quickly and thought the Kestrel was the one who stopped your car and absconded with your camera and 200-800. I thought, "That Kestrel's got good taste!" Then I saw the gif and realized my error.
Nice shots by the way.
