Show your Bird Portraits

Human activity changes Nature. We are responsible for the extinction of some species by hunting them, bringing in predators or changing their habitat. We breed new species. We are currently witnessing changes in migration patterns caused by global warming and most likely the destruction of more birds, animals and plants.
Just came across this scientific paper:

"People have shaped most of terrestrial nature for at least 12,000 years"

The last post were from last Saturday. These are from the Sunday before last ( Jan 26th). R5 RF 200-800

I was going back and forth between the R1 and R5. Next I'll see what I have with the R1 and RF 200-800.

I especially like the second one. Nicely done, ISv.
Thanks Click! Honestly I like both of them: it's how the live is going and I want to capture it. I perfectly understand why you (and by far not only you :)) like the second one best. But the first one is reflecting better the live and the behavior of this bird... When I have the opportunity to get the bird on clear background I do it! I just think the nature is beautiful (not necessarily always) as it is and it doesn't need our corrections. Damn it - we already "corrected" too much! And yes - I know I'm not talking as a photographer/artist but I talk what I think...

Terrible weather here but went for a walk in thick mist. Took the 100-500 on the R5 as I can't bear to go without a camera, and heard a Songthrush singing in the distance, which I could just make out by eye. The shot at 500mm shows the atmosphere. For amusement, I processed a crop of the centre in DxO clearview, tarted up the colour and upscaled it 4x in Topaz AI hifidelity mode to give a semi-passable image of the bird, belying the pixellated mist-shrouded original.

I couldn't agree with you more. As a photographer, you may prefer the second one; as a biologist, you may like both.

I'm not a professional photographer but I'm professional biologist (not Zoology but still Biologist!) so, you are right in the spot!
And these from today (part 1):
