The R5ii + RF 200-800mm worked just ok this week. Though I was careful to hold the end so it wouldn't drop off.

I took a series of shots of two Great Crested Grebes courting at 20 fps. I made two gifs from different series and then saw how they repeated the same routine. here's one with the next in the following post.

Surprisingly nice photo for such a "crappy" lens ! BTW it's how the detail and sharpness on the Robin should look - even if the lens is in half!

I went there to practice BIF (didn't try for a long time...) and to see if the Wandering Tattler that frequents that pond is molting to go North! The Tattler was kind of shy for ~15-20 min but later came very close (I just sit on a rock pretending to be a part of it)! First photo is a Black-crowned Night Heron off course!

It looks like a snake or intestinal worm attacking the night haron. You're excellent photos always give me nightmares!

A Grey Heron flew stately by, landed, hunted, and what did the brute get - a beetle.

Sorry for posting this video (my daughter did find it on the Internet) but since we don't have section "Smart birds"...
I believe it would be interesting for any nature loving person (and there are so many of them around)! BTW I have seen the Black-crowned Night heron doing something like this here, on Hawaii. On the video it seems to be the Little Heron (separated from the Striated Heron few years ago)

Thank you for apologizing. I'm going to be having nightmares that birds become so smart they make humans their slaves. They make us sit on eggs or get pecked - humiliation...
