I do not want EVF hump. Just give me an EVF accessory like the M6mk2, then I can remove it and leave somewhere. Never used that EVF onces

A compact camera doesn't really need a EVF hump - a rangefinder-like design like the Fuji puts the EVF (and the Fuji has an hybrid OVF/EVF) on one side of the camera.

That design requires the entire camera to be taller, to fit a standard sized LCD below the side viewfinder.

A slightly taller camera still slides into a pocket easily, while humps and pluggable EVFs get in the way. The Fuji X100V is 6mm taller than the Powershot V1. Not a big deal.

I don't care if they call it Mark or just Powershot G1.

But please Canon, please for the love of God:
- a fast lens (what we had in the G1X Mark II or G7X III).
- useable zoom range (what we had in the G1X Mark II or G5X II)
- newer 4/3 sensor with dualpixel AF

And then you'd have a camera that would sell like hotcakes even if it costs $1499.

I suppose it depends on who’s buying P&S cameras these days. I suspect it’s not mostly photographers.
