Great shots of a beautiful individual, Alan.A monster Migrant Hawker today on a butterfly tree in a meadow. These guys get around. He nearly filled the frame of the R5 and I have had to reduce the size to upload here. I wish I had had the RF 100-400mm rather than the 100-500mm or I had the 2xTC with me as I want to get a closer up of the eyes.
Thanks Maximilian. As you know, they are difficult to get their heads and tails in focus.Great shots of a beautiful individual, Alan.
Please congratulate your wife on her nice shot. Maybe she doesn't know internet people appreciate it.A couple more from the end of the season. Red Darter by my wife (R7 + RF 100-400mm) and a Migrant Hawker in flight (R5 + RF 100-500mm). The Hawker is at iso 51,000 and flying, not hovering, against a background - no complaints about the iso capability and AF of the R5.
