The darter is impressive. I think I can't do it. I'm more of a person for something slow moving or even not moving.

We all like when the object stays stone-steady (but sometimes they are moving - even flying)!

I fail almost every time with something flying. I still give it a try, but the results are almost never good.
I'm just not quite quick enough to keep a flying insect in frame.

Keep trying. It takes some time till you get it going.

A pair of Ruddy Darters flying all over the placeto oviposit. Don't ask how many shots it took to get this close-up in focus from male head to female tail. The single male further away was a doddle in comparison (R5 500mm).
