When did you ever need someting faster than 1/4000 s? And 1/8000 s is still possible with ES.Max shutterspeed is bad, M6 II does 1/16.000

I read it as total sarcasm, personally – intended as a humorous way to correct the labeling of the announced-tomorrow RF 20/1.4L VCM.Why should Canon always "cripple" something? Why is something "crippled" at all?
If I did read your post right, I interpret some sarcasm into it. I hope I am right.
So maybe I'm opening a can of worms here that doesn't even exist.
But maybe people should start thinking about the use of some words, that might be critical.
Not directly addressed to you, Bonich, and no accuse, but in general I think the whole world would be a lot better, if we start to be more polite again.
I know, I do a lot of that "Canon is doomed" stuff as well, but IMO "doomed" is something else than "crippled".
But maybe I should rethink my point of view as well.
Sorry for the rant, but I had to let that out.
You-re right. And why can't Sigma get the mount name right? It's RF-S not RF, even in their shop the mount selection menu states RF.
F/1.2 is bright sunlight. We get that bright of a day once a year here in the NetherlandsWhen did you ever need someting faster than 1/4000 s? And 1/8000 s is still possible with ES.
Thanks. I did (try to do) that, too. Still, I had to let that out.I read it as total sarcasm, personally – intended as a humorous way to correct the labeling of the announced-tomorrow RF 20/1.4L VCM.
Please show me that f/1.2 (RF-S) lens you would pair with an R50/R50VF/1.2 is bright sunlight. We get that bright of a day once a year here in the Netherlands![]()
1.4 outside, people doing sports.need someting faster than 1/4000
It also takes RF lenses. Please show me that f/1.2 (RF-S) lens
Because there is no RF-S mount. There is only one new Canon mount and it's named RF. The designation for the Canon crop lenses is RF-S. Sigma uses DC for their crop designation. And why can't Sigma get the mount name right? It's RF-S not RF, even in their shop the mount selection menu states RF.
And typically, you pair a small lightweight and sub 1k$ body with a heavy and big lens over 1.4k$ (OEM)... sureIt also takes RF lenses.
At Sigma? This may be a worthy M6 II successor but where are the lenses![]()
You did not ask about typical you asked about a 1.2 lens that would work. And you are ignoring the very typical APSC 1.4 lenses. And typically,
But which?Obviously he would pair one that works.
I have no f/1.2 lenses, but I would use my 50VCM on it! And in the theoretical case I’d get an R50V, I’d get the sigma 56mm.Please show me that f/1.2 (RF-S) lens you would pair with an R50/R50V![]()
You aren't getting IBIS in a $650 Camera body.IBIS please.....it\'ll be perfect fit with RF28 pancake
This is true, they have some nice f/1.4s. I want my pancake though! At Sigma?
And some prefer f/1.4 VCM lenses![]()
