Large red damselies.
And I like the refectionsNice picture, Maximilian. I like the tone on tone.
The R5 also did quite well today on an Emperor in flight. It was less than 3m away, and worth cropping to a portrait. It was quite trial as he wouldn't hover and I had to catch him in full flight.First try with the R6m2 on a damselfly IF. Quite easy to get with the new AF system.
A goblet-marked damselfly (erythromma lindenii).

Really great.As you have asked.
Of course that's not nice for you and your wrist. My wrist ached after tracking it for ages to get a shot with the RF 100-500. I might use the RF 100-400mm in future as it is so much lighter and also easy to pan with.
When they are darting backwards and forwards and mainly against reeds, it's very difficult. Also, 500mm is more difficult than 400mm, and I often zoom out to 400mm for difficult panning.Really great.

But thank you for that comment, because it shows me, that it's not only me having problems with tracking and panning and getting the AF locked on the DIF.
